Starsky D3794 the Dog needs a home


Hi Folks, my name is Starsky and I'm a pretty big boy.  I was born in April 2017, and weight about 50 pounds.  I might continue to grow a little bit, but probably won't get past 60 pounds.  
My foster mom says I'm a beautiful boy. She loves my big brown eyes! She has taught me to be very gentle with people, and she loves to snuggle with me! I know what sit means and I do it if you insist. I know what kennel is too, and I go in very nicely when I know there's a treat! Another word I know is outside! That's one of my favorite words!


I have to admit I am NOT good with cats. I just think they look like toys, and mom says I get way too rough, so no cats for me. But I also love my foster mom's dogs! They are all adults and one of them plays pretty rough. I like to play with them and I'm getting good at keeping up. If they get too rough I roll over on my back and surrender, and mom tells them to stop! We all listen to mom!!


I've met a lot of people, but I have to admit, I can be very shy, especially if I'm meeting you for the first time. When mom takes me to the pet food store for what she calls socialization, I get pretty scared if people try to pet me.  
Mom says that the perfect family for me will be willing to really commit and work slowly and carefully to help me adjust to new places and things and new people, but she also says I'm worth the work!


I know to go to the door when I need to go outside to go potty, but might have an accident if my foster mom doesn't see me and let me out quickly enough.


Mom calls me a work in progress, but she tells me I'm getting better everyday!  I hope to find my family soon!  If you think that might be you, fill out an application to meet me today!
